Join us to celebrate the achievements of York Climate Commission through 2024

Last January, the York Climate Commission (YCC) re-launched; opening its arms to organisations and partners across the city to work collaboratively, help cut greenhouse gas emissions and enhance York’s environment to meet the challenges ahead. We held a fantastic event at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall, where many working groups formed, and all left with an enthusiastic spring in their step.

York Climate Commission is looking to become incorporated as a charity (CIO) in order to open up funding opportunities to support us to deliver our purpose: to champion, collaborate and challenge action on climate change to benefit the natural environment of the city as well as to create a healthier, more prosperous and future-proofed city for current and future generations.

York Cycle Campaign will be taking part in a gathering of over 400 transport and active travel professionals from across the UK next week, hosted at York Barbican on July 2nd and 3rd.

Active City York 2025 is the annual summit of York-based government agency Active Travel England, which aims to increase the number of people walking, wheeling and cycling as part of their everyday lives.
