Climate Change, Extreme Heat, and Public Health

York Climate Commission’s Health working group are hosting this session to help those working with at-risk groups or vulnerable communities to explore climate risk and adaptation planning for extreme heat.

Attendees will hear expert advice on how to plan for extreme heat and have the chance to be involved in an interactive workshop. Groups who might find this session helpful include (but are not limited to): the third sector, charities, private businesses, public health organisations.

No minimum age restriction.

Convening the Convenors: Connecting Climate & Green Networks Across York

York Glow Ride to Light Up The Night

Join us for a spectacular night-time cycle ride across York as we light up our bikes and demand safer, better-lit streets!

This mass glow ride will take us through some of York’s most poorly lit cycling routes, as we ride together in a joyful, visible convoy. Along the way, we’re highlighting the importance of lighting – on bikes and in our public spaces – to ensure everyone feels safe cycling after dark.

Green Business Forum: Energy
