York Climate Commission - January 2024

Please join us for a re-think of the York Climate Commission,

Thursday 11th January 2024

Merchant Adventurers Hall, York

10am - 2.30 pm

York’s target for net zero is 2030. We need to adapt and thrive, despite extreme weather, and encourage new skills and jobs to ensure a just transition. The challenge is immense and can only be addressed if we work together across the city and beyond. With that in mind, we want to re-think the York Climate Commission. We welcome your contributions to co-design strategies and inform actions that will best help the whole City to cut greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance our environment to meet the challenges ahead.

As space is limited, we ask you to nominate one person from your organisation to attend.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch. Light refreshments will be provided – donations to cover their costs would be appreciated.

RSVP: carbon.reduction@york.gov.uk

(With thanks to The Merchant Adventurers Hall for the venue, in support of taking action on the Climate Emergency)
