InTREEgued Network Event: The Wonder of Treescapes Film Premiere

Thursday, July 10, 2025 - 18:00 to 19:00
ENV/005, Environment Building, Campus West, University of York

Join the InTREEgued Network for an evening celebrating the University of York’s contributions to the UKRI Treescapes Programme, a pioneering initiative exploring the vital environmental, social, economic, and cultural roles of the UK’s trees, woodlands, and forests.

On the 10 July, the programme film 'The Wonder of Treescapes' will have its digital premiere. The film features the work of the programme, which includes several projects involving the University of York (Branching Out and Branching BeyondConnected TreescapesNew LEAF and Exploring Wood Pastures for Upland UK Treescapes).

The research commissioned through the programme helps to guide decisions on expanding and protecting these areas for the benefit of the climate, nature and people. By creating and linking environmental, social and economic datasets to cultural and behavioural knowledge, the programme has transformed our understanding of how treescapes work and how we can manage them.

There’ll be time after the screening to chat with fellow tree lovers over light refreshments. Whether you're a researcher, student policymaker or simply tree-curious, all are welcome! Register for 'The Wonder of Treescapes'.
